Combi Nautic POD engines are characterized by their robustness, efficient design and reliability. Our motors are made for long-term use and have a high efficiency. The Combi Nautic line uses Asynchronous AC motors and synchronous Brushless PM motors. The motors are very user-friendly and easy to connect. Furthermore, the motors are brushless meaning low-maintenance.
The Combi Nautic is a silent motor for optimal sailing pleasure. The Combi Nautic is available as a fixed POD motor (Saildrive) or as steerable pod motor (Steerable POD). Other mounting options are available, for example, it can be built in a rudder blade.
Why Combi Nautic
When you are looking for a POD engine, the Combi Nautic is the ideal solution. This engine comes standard with control box and joystick for side mounting. The packages are supplied ready-made (Plug and Play) so that you can easily assemble and connect without extensive technical knowledge.
Electric motoring is sailing without emitting harmful CO² gases, such as combustion engines.
You have quiet electric motors and near silent electric motors. With a Combi electric motor you can enjoy the sounds on the water that you would otherwise not hear while motoring.
By using the latest technologies and optimized design, our engines offer high efficiency at low power.
We use brushless motors, which reduces maintenance to a minimum.
The entire line of Combi Nautic electric motors has been completely renewed in the field of design and technology. The housing has an aerodynamic design. All motors are brushless . This not only means less maintenance but also a considerable improvement in efficiency and thrust. The connectors are made of seawater resistant stainless steel. Due to the advanced power electronics, the Combi Nautic engines are standard equipped with a stepless speed control. Switching from front to back is integrated into the joystick, this way all functions can be operated with one hand.
We supply the systems ready-made and can provide you with technical drawings to prepare your boat for the assembly of our engines. That way you can do the installation yourself, but with our full support.
Saildrive or steerable
The Combi Nautic POD engines come in two different variants. You can choose for our Nautic Saildrive motor when you want to use a fixed mount with a rudder. When you prefer higher maneuverability, you can choose for the Nautic Steerable POD. This model can be mounted in the rudder trunk and can be managed with a steering system or a tiller.
The Combi Nautic POD can be applied in many ways. We also offer custom-made solutions including solutions for catamarans or dual drive units where extra power is required.
The motors are powerful, have a robust housing and are small in size. This makes it sometimes even possible to mount the motor in the rudder blade. The Combi Nautic POD motors have an external control box which fits in every boat. This is available with or without an aluminum mounting plate.
All motors are built on our “Easy Connect” principle and are delivered Plug & Play. If you want to install the engine yourself, you can start right away without running the risk of installing the motor incorrectly.
The Combi Nautic has a robust design and is built for heavy duty and long-term use. The Nautic line consists of different capacities ranging from 700 watts to 3.5 kW and is available as a fixed or steerable POD motor. The electric motors use a battery voltage of 24 to 48 Volt DC depending on the capacity of the motor.

The chargecapacity has a minimum of 10% of the total battery capacity (C20). Note: Ideally it will have 15% chargecapacity based on the total battery capacity.
